Manicure: Fall/Winter Favorites

Happy Friday everyone! Weekend is finally here :)

Are you guys ready for fall? Here are some of my favorite fall/winter nail colors. Who says fall/winter colors are always dull and boring? Let me show you how you can rock this fall and winter seasons :)

When you get all prepared for your jackets, coats, sweaters, boots and winter gears, do not forget to fashion-ize your nails too!

I bought couple metallic nail polishes in the summer, yes I'm ready for fall! I feel like to brighten up the darker shades in fall/winter, metallic is the best option. For example, instead of painting black nails, use metallic black. It adds more glam and chic look to your nails. I'm really into this metallic goldish bronzish copperish color lately. Those colors are so classy and versatile.

Bold colors are also a trend in the fall/winter series. Burgundy is one of my favorite colors in the fall and winter. The color is just so warm and beautiful, it does make you age a little bit but it is so elegant. Indigo is also a very stylish fall/winter color but it tends to look 'dirty' on yellow skin tone :( Purple is also my favorite color in the fall and winter seasons. I chose a darker lavender shade instead of a deep purple because deep purple is not as versatile as deep lavender. Of course not to forget my favorite Tiffany blue color, that's my all time favorite, I use it in every season. It is my 'all season nail polish' shade.

Glitterssss!!! Glitters are my favorite. They look so cute on nails but it is pain in the ass to wash if off your nails :/ I always wear glitter nails on Christmas. Red and gold glitters are probably the best Christmas option. What about trying something new like purple glitter? Purple glitter looks so cool, funky and young! So you don't need to worry about darker nail shades make you age. Or try out mix glitter like navy/red, purple/blue, any combination. I have a red/green glitter nail polish from OPI that looks very festive christmassy.

Some people like to keep their nails simple and clean. Nude is the best option but there are so many different shades of nude out there. I would say choose a cold tone instead of warm tone for fall and winter. I do not have any cold tone nude colors because I'm not a big fan of nude nails, probably once in a while when I'm bored of colors. But hey who gets bored of colorsss?

So that is my fall/winter nail shades and what's yours?

Thanks for reading and stay tune for new posts <3

Manicure: Tiffany and Co. © French Tip

Happy Tuesday everyone! How was your first day of school?

Everyone was busy preparing for school and I feel very weird that I'm no longer in school. I can't believe I'm saying this, I miss going to school.

Alright, back to nails, I'm really into this Tiffany and Co. © shade lately, let's just call it Tiffany blue. It has been my favorite color for a while but I seriously fall into this color now, like real bad. Everything I got past couple weeks was in Tiffany blue, literally like everything. Seriously I think I can do a post purely on stuffs I got in Tiffany blue. That is actually a great idea isn't it? I just thought it is a very lovely, fresh and youthful color.

I decided to keep it simple this time and french tip was the first that came to my mind. I wanted something different than regular french tip because I have done that couple times. So I was browsing Tiffany and Co. © website and this came across my mind. I was like why not to top another coat of Tiffany blue on a regular french tip nails? And ta-dah, this is how I thought of the Tiffany and Co. © inspired nails. It is simple yet classy. French tip will never go too crazy and it is always good for every event even job interview.

So I painted my nails with 2 coats of Rimmel French Manicure Pro in shade 140 French Rose, such a pretty name, the color is so sweet too. It is a very light nude pinkish color. I then taped my nails with my double eyelid tapes, you can use any tape, just cut it to match the shape of your nails, I was just too lazy to cut out the shape and double eyelid tape has the arch I wanted. I topped it with a coat of Pure Ice in shade Super Star!. I got this white color nail polish at Walmart and it is very affordable. I believe I only paid less than $2 for that. It has decent amount of products too. Of course, not to forget my favorite Tiffany blue color from China Glaze in shade For Audrey. I got it from Amazon for like $5 including shipping which I think it is really cheap. I actually found a better Tiffany blue color from Essie, but I just don't feel like paying $8 for a bottle of nail polish. I personally think China Glaze For Audrey is very close to what I wanted. Last but not least, I applied a coat of Sally Hansen
Strengthening Top Coat. This top coat seriously does its job. My nail polish lasted so much longer when I use it.

Thank you so much for reading I hope you guys like it. Have a great week ahead!

Haul: Benefit, NARS, Topshop

Hi everyone! Happy Sunday. I hope you guys had a great weekend :)

I picked up some beauty products in Sephora and Topshop last week. I haven't had the chance to try them out yet so I will let you guys know if it is worth the hype soon. I might do some product reviews on these stuffs too probably in couple weeks so don't forget to check it out!

So I went to Topshop to shop for some clothes but ended up purchasing this metallic nail polish trio. It doesn't really show in the picture but the color is burgundy, orange glitter and bronze. I love these color so much and thanks my bf for choosing the color for me. I usually do manicure update every other week so you will definitely see these pretty colors on my nails in my future post.

I also went to Sephora and got these Benefit 'Gettin' Cheeky!' and NARS lipgloss in Orgasm. Benefit Gettin' Cheeky is only exclusive in Sephora. It has Posietint, Sun Beam and Chacha-tint in a little box. The packaging is so cute, trust me, Benefit always has the cutest packaging ever. They come in travel size and it is 0.3oz each. It is so convenient that you can just put it in your purse and get a touch up every couple hours. Posietint and Chacha-tint can be used as cheek tint or lip tint. The color is so bright and lovely. Posietint has a very petal pinkish tone and Chacha-tint has a coral based tone. Sun Beam is a medium golden toned liquid bronzer.

The last product I picked up is the NARS lipgloss. It has 23 shades and I chose the shade in orgasm. It has a very 'blushing' name huh. I have seen a lot of bloggers or youtubers obsessed with this lipgloss and I wanna give it a try! I will definitely do a review on this lipgloss.

Manicure: Passion Orange and Romantic Pink

Hey guys! It's time for the nails again :)

I haven't gotten any new nail polishes in a while and I kind of run out of summer color. How could that be! I should go on a nail polishes shopping. So while I'm looking for new colors, I'm gonna play with some mix and match to create a new look but using the same colors I have been using the past months.

I wanted a summer-colored nails. I chose orangey red color and I added baby pink for some cuteness. This bright orangey red color nails is very versatile, it matches almost everything in my closet. It looks like candy color!!

Summer Manicure: Leopardy peachy

Happy Saturday!

The weather is warming up and I'm ready for summer neon color and some tan! I don't have any plan for the rest of the summer yet because I'm really broke after my summer break trip back in May. Maybe Chicago day trip in the late July or something but yeah no plan for now.

Since I'm not going out and to make my summer more interesting, I'm gonna play with my nails! This time I wanna try something different, the nail sticker! Damn I'm in love with this nail sticker, no waiting time to dry the nail polish, no smear, no hassle! I got this Sally Hansen animal print nail sticker last summer and hasn't had a chance to try it out. I just love it when I tried it last night. I think whole leopard print will be too much of prints on nails so I painted other nails neon coral color and it turned out so great! They are just perfect match for the summer.

Thank you so much for reading and I hope you guys have a wonderful weekend!

Manicure: Pastel Polka

Hi everyone :)

I think spring is my favorite season. I know it's way too early to talk about spring but my nails couldn't wait to get painted in pastel colors!!

Pastel colors are my favorite! Tiffany blue, lavender, coral, lime, baby pink, mint..They are just too pretty. So I painted my nails in 2 of my favorite colors tiffany blue and lavender. I got these 2 colors from The Face Shop at Hmart in Naperville, IL. It was on sales. I got them on Black Friday sales and each color was only $1.50! What a great deal. I want my nails to look even cuter so I tried on the polka dots pattern. I use the end tip of bobby pin to make perfect round dots.

And ta-dah, here's the result :)

French Manicure

How was your long weekend guys?

I was kind of bored at home and decided to change my nail color. I love coloring my nails. It's actually rare to see me with bare nails. As a college student, it's kind of unaffordable to go manicure at salon often so I prefer to do it myself and save up for school **poor college kids** :(

DIY French Manicure
I love this french manicure. It is very simple and looks really clean. It is perfect for school and work and also for those who don't like to have bright nails. I skipped the base and started off to apply 2 coats of Rimmel french manicure pro in color 140 (french rose). I then cut the clear tape into a round tip shape and taped it to my nails to create the white tip. I put a coat of Pure Ice in shade 'Super star'. I topped it with Sally Hansen strengthening top coat and ta-dahh my french manicure is done! Simple and neat.

And now a little bit of my nails story. I used to have a really bad habit which is biting my nails and it lasted for more than 10 years! I tried to quit but it never worked. I actually quit for 2 years while I had my braces then I started again when I took the braces off. I then tried to quit again and of course it failed. So I decided to apply nail polish on my nails. That's the only way preventing me from biting the nails. It worked pretty well until I got a job at the dining court in my college. I'm not allowed to put on any nail polish because my job scope is dealing with foods. Guess what?? My old habit came back grrrr!!!!

I quit my job couple months ago and I started to grow my nails and put nail polish again. *whew* So my old habit kind of went away. I wish. **finger crossed**. That's why I have very petite nails.

And since then, I love to color my nails. *YAY* I usually change my nail polish every other week now or when it starts chipping.
