Haul: TJ Maxx Dresses

Hi everyone. I  hope you had a great weekend!

I went to TJ Maxx last week and picked up two cute dresses which costs $19.99 ea. I wanted to get more but gah, trying to save up :/

So I picked up this little black dress. I love the lacey and mesh details on this dress, it looks very classy. It can be worn at a formal, banquet or a night date.

The other dress is from Roxy. It is very summer-ish. The material is very soft and thin so it is definitely a must-have in the summer. I got compliment when I wore it couple days ago :)

How to make Tonkatsu

Hi everyone :)

My bf was craving for tonkatsu today so we decided to make our own instead of just eating out. Tonkatsu is japanese style fried pork cutlet. So we headed to grocery store and got some thin cut pork slices. And lets get started!
Tonkatsu

All we need is thin cut pork slices, eggs, flour, bread crumbs, salt and pepper for seasoning.
Ingredients

Slit the side of the pork to prevent the meat from curling while frying.
Seasoned the pork slices with salt and pepper

Lightly coat the pork slices with flour, then beaten eggs and lastly the bread crumbs. Set them aside.
Coat pork slices with flour, eggs and bread crumbs.

Put the coated pork slices into frying pan with hot oil. Fried it with medium-high heat until golden brown both sides. Place it on paper towel or let it rest on metal rack to remove excess oil.
Fried until golden brown

Ta-dah, tonkatsu is ready to serve!

Korean BBQ at Chicago

Happy Thursday peeps! Hang in there, weekend is just right here.

I went to Wisconsin last week with my bf and we stopped by Chicago for dinner. This time we went to an all-you-can-eat Korean BBQ restaurant at Lincoln Square called Song Do. This was my second visit and I'm very satisfied on both my visits. The service was really good. For $16.99 and you can have unlimited meats and side dishes, I think it's very affordable. Meats was well marinated and taste good. I would definitely go again!

Haul: Kate Spade New York and Coach purses

Hi everyone!

I went to outlet shopping recently and got myself 2 new purses!

The black quilted Kate Spade New York is my favorite. The gold chain and zipper instantly added more cuteness to it. Love the black and gold color combination, it is always so classy. (Purdue color is black and gold too, forever hail Purdue!). It has one big compartment with some phone and card slots at the side. It also has a zipper compartment at the side. The purse has a lot of room for all my stuffs: my wallet, big ass phone, some make ups, hand cream, id holder, tissue paper, snacks. It is very versatile and it matches everything in my closet. The shoulder strap is removable too.

I got this coral purse from Coach. I wasn't gonna get anything from Coach, I went there to get some souvenirs for family but I ended up getting this purse. This purse is so cute in shape and color. It has 3 compartments. It is not as big as the black KSNY but it can fit all my stuffs in it with extra room.

Happy Independence Day

Happy July 4th! Are you ready for the fireworks?

I went to Turkey Run State Park in Indiana with my bf and couple friends. It was my first time going to a state park. We set up the BBQ grill and had BBQ as lunch. Then we went canoeing along the river, the view was awesome! It has been so long since I last canoed. There is 10 trails at the park so we decided to go on the trails. The trails are at both sides of the river and there are only 2 bridges going to the other side and one of them was closed! It was very fun that we walked across the river at the shallow side (opps, we weren't allowed to) and created our own trail because it was getting dark and we needed to get to the opposite side and the only bridge was miles away. It was a great experience tho, I love it!

Get ready for canoe!!

I spent my night at home watching fireworks as my apartment is facing downtown. Fireworks were amazing! It was almost 20 minutes long. Of course Churro got scared again and mama need to comfort him :P
